Traffic is so annoying, isn’t it? And how
about trying to find a parking space? So why not get away this
weekend to a magical place where you can have the roads virtually all to
yourself and where you can park, well, practically anywhere you feel
like? For about the cost of a movie, you can hop aboard a 21-speed
mountain bike and cruise Angel Island’s eight miles of picturesque,
traffic-free trails. Out of shape? Don’t worry, most of
the trails are even suitable for cubicle-monkeys. Of course, there
are steeper trails for you more adventurous bike gods and
goddesses. Bicycles are meticulously maintained and can be rented
at the entrance to the park by the hour or for the entire day, depending
on how gung-ho you’re feeling. We know what you’re thinking—of
course a helmet is included. After all, safety first!

The best way to get around The City is definitely on a
bicycle. Just think, no gridlock and you don’t have to scrounge
up quarters for MUNI. Now that’s our idea of heaven. Save
yourself the headache of driving, use those quarters for laundry, and
get a little exercise while you’re at it! Cruise across the Golden
Gate Bridge to Sausalito or conquer Mount Tamalpais—it’s up to
you. But no matter what kind of ride you’re in the mood (or the
shape) for, the folks at Blazing Saddles Cyclery have just the bike for
you. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you select a bike
to match your needs and your budget and have you off and running, or
riding rather, in no time. |
