Local naturalists David Lukas and Simone Whitecloud will lead two hikes on the same day, first to the Tiburon Audubon-Richardson Bay wildlife sanctuary in search of coastal birds and flowers, and then drive to Ring Mountain for a two-mile meander in search of grassland species. Mare Island’s Music in the Mansion: Spring Sends its Greeting

This will be the last Music in the Mansion sponsored by the Daffodil Tea Committee. In an effort to raise funds for St Peter’s Chapel, the oldest naval church in the US, the event features costumed players from “The Flutes of Fancy,” who will provide lovely Renaissance and Baroque pieces. 12th Annual KFOG KaBoom!

KFOG KaBoom! kicks off with a free concert with The Wallflowers, John Butler Trio, and Kathleen Edwards, and more than seven tons of explosives in a fireworks display created by Pyrotechnic Choreographer Eric Tucker. The fireworks show, which takes five full days to set up on a group of barges the size of a football field, will be fired from San Francisco Bay, just off Pier 30/32.
