Taste on the Bay on its Way

April 22, 2003 marks the debut of what is certain to become one of the most celebrated events in the Bay Area. Taste on the Bay promises to be an unforgettable wine, food and cruis e experience held aboard the ultimate venue…Signature Yacht Events 150-foot majestic flagship, the San Francisco Spirit. With its three decks and marble dance floors, this luxurious yacht will take the culinary celebration under the Bay Bridge, past Alcatraz and Angel Island, to the calm waters of Sausalito, under the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge, and then down the famous waterfront of San Francisco.

Taste on the Bay will feature award winning wineries and renowned restaurants, entertainment, a silent auction, champagne toasts and dessert party. There is also an exclusive Champagne Pre-Cruise Reception held onboard where select wineries will be pouring their rare, limited edition vintages.

It’s all part of a major fundraising effort by the San Francisco Parks and Recreation and Department for the 2003 U.S. Youth Games, being held in San Francisco July 25-29, 2003. The U.S. Youth Games is a nonprofit organization committed to bringing together thousands of young male and female athletes from around the country for an Olympic-like experience. It is a unique opportunity for these youngsters to test their skills against their peers from other parts of the nation. Entering their 39th year, the Games have touched the lives of millions and provided countless thrills and educational experiences for youth.
