Love, Lust, and
Heartbreak,
Photographic
artist Gabrielle Gianella and her muse, Fernando, will be
featured among the contestant winners displayed celebrating
the Valentine’s Day theme, Love, Lust, and Heartbreak. The
main artist reception was held along with the monthly First
Friday Open Arts showing at the Gallery Behind the Blue Door
from 6pm to 9pm. The events were the brainchild of the
gallery owner, jewelry artist Nan Gray. Missing the Open
Art’s First Friday artist reception doesn’t mean the art
cannot be viewed. Additional showings can be arranged by
calling the gallery at (510) 395-1139. The gallery is
located on the south side of the Rosenblum Winery building,
next to the Alameda Ferry Dock.
Across the gravel parking lot is Hello
Wines, a new business in the large blue building. These two
businesses are now working together to bring a larger
location wine bar and more fun to special events in this
area. Hello Wines is open for free wine tasting until 8pm.
In addition, many of the pieces from the Love, Lust, and
Heartbreak photographic art exhibit will remain at Hello
Wines through February. Hello Wines is open daily from 11
am-8pm. They are located at 2900 Main Street in Alameda,
(510) 522-5700.
