Names Kenneth E. Winters as Director of Real Estate
The Port of San Francisco today announced that
Kenneth E. Winters has been named as the Port’s new Director of
Real Estate, effective immediately. Winters is responsible for
directing, promoting, and managing the Port’s real estate
portfolio along the 7.5 miles of San Francisco’s waterfront that
extends from Fisherman’s Wharf to Bayview/Hunter’s Point.
With more than 20 years experience in financial
investment, real estate portfolio management, and strategic
planning throughout the United States and international markets,
Winters brings a diverse knowledge of business management
practices, strategies, and transaction experience. His vision will
enhance Port revenues, strengthen client relationships, and
improve overall operating efficiencies.

Director. “The depth of his corporate managerial skills and his
demonstrated leadership are essential to the Port in forging
stronger partnerships with our 600-plus tenants, and in creating
greater interest in waterfront development opportunities within
the international business community.”
As a principal of AEW Capital Management, a
private institutional investment firm in Boston, Winters managed a
$2.5 billion real estate portfolio with an operating budget of
over $400 million and was responsible for negotiating and
completing more than $800 million of real estate investment
transactions.
“In addition to his proven skills in asset
management and real estate transactions, Ken is a seasoned leader
that will add strength and a new dimension to our team,” said
Wong. “He is comfortable managing large teams, is adept at
consensus building, and has demonstrated vision and success in his
past business endeavors.”
Winters holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance
from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, and a Master’s
degree in Finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
