Modified
Golden Gate Ferry Schedules effective March 28, 2004
Minor schedule changes are now in effect for
both the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry and Golden Gate
Sausalito Ferry.
Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry
The weekday schedule modifications for Larkspur mark the
return to a schedule with three vessels, two of which are
high-speed ferries. The two high-speed ferries (M.V.
Mendocino and M.V. Del Norte) will make 26 of 42 weekday
trips, resulting in 7 departure times being adjusted by 5 to
10 minutes and 10 arrival times adjusted, the majority of
which will be adjusted to arrive earlier. There will be NO
changes to the weekend/holiday schedule. In 2003, the
Larkspur schedule was operated with one high-speed vessel
and three of the older high-capacity Spaulding vessels,
while the M.V. Mendocino was taken out of service for
warranty work.
Golden Gate Sausalito Ferry
One of the three original Larkspur high-capacity (715
passengers) Spaulding vessels is taking over service between
Sausalito to San Francisco now that the M.V. Golden Gate
Ferry vessel has been retired from service. As a result,
minor schedule changes will be implemented for both the
weekday and weekend schedule. On weekdays, three departure
times will be changed, and on weekends two departure times
will be changed. The Golden Gate Sausalito ferry operates 18
crossings on weekdays and 12 crossings on weekends.
