Surprise at the Show

Surprise, a Carl Schumacher- designed 46’ fast cruiser, will be open for tours during Pacific Sail Expo for those who dream of sailing in the West Marine Pacific Cup. The Pacific Cup is run every two years for those who want to experience sailing to Hawaii in a fun way with lots of parties at both ends and a safety net of fellow sailors within radio distance all along the journey. Sailing to Hawaii is the longest single crossing on the planet (approximately 2,100 nautical miles) without anywhere to stop. There is no stopping for shopping, no gas stations, no places to anchor, or duck out of a storm. It is sailing 24 hours a day for days and days. Owners Stephen and Susan Chamberlin of Surprise will be available for 30-minute tours by appointment. Sign up for tours during Pacific Sail Expo at the boat.
