The Port of Oakland throws a party each year to show off its happenin’ Oakland Estuary home. The festivities are centered at Jack London Square with Harbor Cruises and aerial demonstrations to boot. It’s become a much-anticipated waterfront tradition with a good time guaranteed to be had by all!

Free cruises of the Oakland Estuary were especially popular. The Blue and Gold Fleet’s venerable Old Blue did the honors. Jim Falaschi (left) and Herb Ellis (right), the veteran developers behind Jack London Square Partners.

 

Even Elvis was there Rhonda Hirata, a top executive with Jack London Square Partners, the firm that has recently taken over management of Jack London Square. Exciting and long-awaited changes are in store for the once-beleaguered area.
