Celebrate the 4th of July in Style!

The coolest place to catch the fireworks on Independence Day this year is from the decks of the Balclutha or the ferryboat Eureka at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, at the Hyde Street Pier! The San Francisco Maritime National Park Association will host its annual fund-raising Fourth of July Fireworks Viewing and Dinner Party on Sunday, July 4th.

Revelers seeking a unique celebration this Fourth of July are invited to climb aboard San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park’s historic sailing vessel Balclutha, or ferryboat Eurek, and watch the fireworks from the best seats by the Bay. Situated right in the heart of this year’s public celebration, the Balclutha and Eureka offer pyrotechnic connoisseurs a relaxed atmosphere close to, but separate from, the crowds on Fisherman’s Wharf.

In addition to the fireworks display, the evening includes a delicious dinner and opportunity to step back into San Francisco’s maritime history. Guests will enjoy a casually elegant dinner aboard Balclutha with live music and hosted wine bar or light buffet aboard the ferryboat Eureka. The proceeds benefit the maritime preservation and education programs of the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association.

San Francisco’s new Argonaut Hotel is offering a special rate for Sunday, July 4th, in conjunction with the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association’s Annual Fireworks Viewing and Dinner Party. Guests attending the Annual Fireworks Viewing and Dinner Party can call the Argonaut Hotel in advance and give their ticket code number to receive the special 4th of July rate.

Tickets to the dinner event are: Balclutha: $140 adult and $50 children. Eureka: $100 adult and $50 children. To purchase tickets, or for more information, please call 415.561.6662, extension 33, or e-mail: julyfourth@maritime.org.
