Slam poets, hip-hop artists, and local youths raise their voices in poetry that speaks to community, and the everyday issues that they face. Poets from Youth Speaks and local youth organizations will be asked to participate.  Five youth poets will raise their voices to empower, teach, and tell it like it is. A 30-minute open mic will also take place to give voice to the Bay Area’s amazingly talented young people.
