Come join Save the Bay’s special Autumn Equinox/Full Moon Bay Cruise on Saturday, September 21st, on an historic Red and White ferry. Enjoy salty air and endlessly staggering views, snacks, and information about the Bay from the folks at Save the Bay. Don’t forget your camera—join us and capture the mood of autumn on the Bay!
This special sunset cruise will depart from San Francisco’s Pier 43 1/2 at 5:30 p.m. The two-hour cruise will venture out under the Golden Gate Bridge for a look at the Marin Headlands, then back alongside Angel Island and Alcatraz. As the sun sets through the Golden Gate, the full moon will rise over the East Bay Hills at 6:30 p.m. We’ll glide past the San Francisco waterfront on our way back to port at 7:30 p.m.—just in time to enjoy a seafood dinner, a stroll to North Beach, or a walk along the moonlit Marina.
The cost is $25 per adult, $20 for ages 6-15, and children under 5 are free. Begin boarding at 5:00 p.m., sailing at 5:30 p.m., returning at 7:30 p.m. Board at Pier 43 1/2 in San Francisco (in the heart of Fishermen’s Wharf between Mason and Taylor Streets on the Embarcadero).
