Lifestyle at the Towers
Published: June, 2003
The Towers, also known as One Embarcadero South, was built as an apartment complex. Now under new ownership and management, it is reinventing its quality and way of life into a luxury living homeowners resort-like complex with great success. The Towers has been sequentially undergoing extensive remodeling as rented units end their leases. Each unit is being completely remodeled and upgraded beautiful luxury living condominiums. The Towers homes, with all modern needs considered, afford incredible views and easy access to everything the City-by-the-Bay has to offer. Though Pac Bell Park is across the street, even the roar of the crowd cannot be heard inside the new, well-insulated and sound- proofed homes unless windows or balcony doors are open, except perhaps when the announcer says, "Barry Bonds hits another home run clear into the Bay."
Part of the overall change for improved lifestyle is the renovation of the Amenities building. On the ground floor, the concierge desk is now available most hours of the day and night to assist with coordination of personal, business, and recreational needs of the owners. The parking attendant’s office, where underground parking is managed, can assist with owners’ automobile needs. Up one floor is a large gym with new and up-to-date equipment overlooking the ball park and marina park across the street. There is also a room for fitness classes. On the third floor is a social gathering room with multimedia capabilities, including an excellent sound system and giant flat screen TV that accommodates DVD and videos with an extensive library of films available. Also on that floor are a business office with computers, fax, and copy machine and meeting rooms for professional appointments, meetings, and instruction classes. Outside the top floor, the pool, spa, and outdoor fireplace with BBQ and lovely furnishings provide an outside recreation area.
Homes in this luxury complex range from $750K to $1.6 million dollars, and they are selling well, even in this economy.
Transportation services are also convenient from the Towers. The Metro stops in front and goes to the BART station, Amtrak is a block away, two freeways are only six blocks away, and the airport is less than twenty minutes away, so getting around individually or in groups is easy. The South Beach Marina and all its business services for water interests plus bike rentals is across the street next to Pac Bell Park. Finding a fine resstaurant is also easy to do in the area. The Towers is a home run.
New Towers homeowners include a number of young professionals--single and married, "empy nesters," and a few young families joining single and married baby boomers and new retirees. It is a smart developing community. The one thing that all new owners seem to have in common is energy and interest in enjoying full and active lives. The Towers is an amazingly well-priced option. Thirty-six more of the larger homes will be available this summer
