21 OYRA Crewed Farallones GGYC start 36 miles out

Generally, when it is wild inside it is mellow out and vice versa. The ride out is classically slow, gaining momentum to the rock and roll finish ducking the infamous South Tower demon. That’s on a good day. A bad run is when there is no wind, just current to make it a very long sail.

21 Summer Sailstice Just Go SAIL

See the article about this new international event. Register to go sailing on the web that day and win fantastic prizes. This is not a race. It is a sailing celebration of the longest day of the year.

A classic that continues to offer a fun ocean sail of a non-taxing length.

July

Traditional cup whose history is reason alone to participate.

12 Midnight Moonlight Marathon SF YC Starts in Raccoon Str.

This is a kick. Leave and begin the dinner picnic. Sail up to Carquinez Bridge, although with construction at night that could be a challenge. Then sail back to Raccoon to finish. A long and beautiful night sail.

19-20 West Marine Fun Regatta Encinal YC Estuary

Kids love this event. It is a regatta for the fun of it.

19 Silver Eagle Island YC 80M Around the Bay

The Bay has 11 micro climates. This race takes participants through 8 of them in one day. It is a good preparation for ocean sailing. 40kn, 0kn, 15kn all in a few miles of each other on the same day. It helps to learn the variances of the Bay, without a doubt. Bring breakfast, lunch & dinner.

26-27 HDA/ODCA 2nd Half Opener Encinal YC City-Bonita-Estuary

Must-go race and party second only to the Vallejo Race. All weekend warriors are required to attend as it counts for overall season standings. Bring your swimsuit. Encinal has a cool pool to jump into after the race.
