This summer, residents of nine Bay Area counties are invited to tour beautiful Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay at half-price on designated Resident Appreciation Days during the week.

Resident Appreciation Days offer locals an excellent opportunity to discover the island’s fascinating history, including its years as the home of Civil War-era Camp Reynolds and the "Ellis Island of the West,"as well as enjoying the picture- postcard views that delight thousands of Bay Area tourists each weekend.

Tuesdays are designated as San Francisco and San Mateo County Resident Appreciation Day. Simply by showing a current picture ID at the Cove Café TramTour counter, San Francisco and San Mateo county residents are entitled to half off the cost of a TramTour ride or mountain bike rental.

Residents of other local counties can enjoy discounts on the following days:

Monday – Marin

Wednesday–Contra Costa and Alameda

Thursday– Napa and Sonoma

Friday – Santa Clara and Solano

This offer is valid Memorial Day through Labor Day, subject to availability, may not be combined with other discount offers, and is good only on the weekday designated for the ID-holder’s county.

Angel Island is accessible by private boat or by ferry from Tiburon, Pier 41 in San Francisco, or the Oakland Ferry Terminal.
