We asked our old friend Loren Earle-Cruickshanks, creator of some of our most memorable covers, to come up with a witty, whimsical shot for this issue, and the result is the fantastic cover you saw when you picked up the issue. Loren loosely based the image on the idea that, "With gas prices what they are these days, you never know who you’ll see on the ferry!"
