This two-hour skippered charter is designed to provide folks who are considering getting into sailing with a real glimpse of the sport, our club and our people.

The winter diving season is upon us. This is the best time of the year to dive Monterey. The sea is 60 degrees, the viz averages 50 feet and yes, the Orcas and Humpback whales are down from Alaska. We start just before sunset and cruise by the Harbor Seal haul out site en route to exploring Sausalito’s floating home community. Then we’ll watch the sunset, and the night lights come up with views of the SF skyline in the distance. Beginners welcome. Lesson, guides, gear all inclusive. $65 per person.

Navigating your kayak by moonlight is a mystical experience you won’t soon forget. We will paddle leisurely while admiring the night sky and the starlight reflecting off the water’s surface. On this day the Geminid meteor shower—considered by many experts to be the most active annual sky show—is going to be especially spectacular this year, astronomers predict 110 multicolored meteors an hour, we couldn’t think of a cooler way to view the show then from our kayaks.

Set sail aboard one of OCSC’s larger yachts skippered by a professional OCSC skipper and enjoy a relaxing night out on the Bay. You can soak in the beauty of the twinkling city lights while not lifting a finger; or pitch in and take the helm. Following the sail OCSC will serve chili, chips, salsa, snacks, and beverages.

Kayaking is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the natural setting of the lovely coastside region of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay. Get up close and personal with harbor seals, marine birds and other wildlife. $49 including equipment and guides.

Come explore the wetlands along Corte Madera Marsh while taking in the views of Mount Tampalpais and the San Francisco Bay. We will paddle out in stable double sea kayaks while keeping our eyes open for the curious harbor seals that gather nearby. If conditions permit, we may take an optional side trip past the infamous San Quentin Prison, then stop for lunch on a nice sandy beach with incredible views.
