The San Francisco Brewers Guild will be holding its sixth annual Brews on the Bay craft beer festival on September 12 and 13.

The San Francisco Brewers Guild will be holding its sixth annual Brews on the Bay craft beer festival on September 12 and 13. The event takes place at the National Liberty Ship Memorial, SS Jeremiah O’Brien, at Pier 45 near Fisherman’s Wharf.

Seven San Francisco breweries will participate in the event, serving over 40 of their finest and freshest beers from noon until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. One unique aspect of this festival is that with the small number of participating breweries, each brewery is encouraged to bring a wide and diverse selection of its products; at most festivals, breweries bring only their two most popular beers. Here, some breweries are bringing up to eight different styles of beers, making for a large and varied selection for attendees.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.sfbrewersguild.org and at all seven of the participating breweries. Tickets for Saturday are $40 in advance and $50 at the event; on Sunday, tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the event. No one under 21 is allowed and you are encouraged to take public transportation. Food will be available for purchase from Rib Shack by Oola and live music will be provided by Zeparella on Saturday and Zoo Station on Sunday.
