Art by the Bay

Among a series of major public art events, the Tiburon Art Festival will feature Art by the Bay, two major public art installations that have never before appeared at the same time and location. From August 10 to 18, 128 of Kiril Jeliazkov’s stunning 20’ x 10’ paintings will be installed along Tiburon’s paths and undisturbed bayside parks with the SF Bay, hillsides and sun dappled vistas as his gallery. Within a short walk of Jeliazkov’s work, along Shoreline Park, internationally acclaimed, award winning sculptor, French artist and Tiburon resident, Jean-Pierre Rives, will feature his bold, powerful and elegant steel sculptures installed along Tiburon’s shoreline. The festival will also feature a Plein Air painting competition on August 10 from noon to 4:30 p.m. Tiburon’s location at the tip of a peninsula, surrounded by the San Francisco Bay and rimmed by accessible hillsides, historic sites and world class views is a most perfect setting for the competition. With the exception of the Art Row Festival on August 17-18, where admission is $5 (kids free), all of the events of the Tiburon Art Festival are open to the public and free of charge. For more information visit, www.tiburonartfestival.org.
