In a partnership with the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department, Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Presents and Starr Hill Presents will bring the seventh annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival back to San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park from August 8 to 10.

In its six years, Outside Lands has risen to become one of the most revered and prominent festivals in the country, with Rolling Stone calling Outside Lands “one of America’s best.” Year after year of consistently world-class live music combined with the unique beauty of its Golden Gate Park surroundings and the best food and drink found at any festival has elevated its reputation and cemented its position as a highly acclaimed global destination for entertainment lovers everywhere.

The 2014 music lineup is once again purposefully dynamic and diverse. From legends like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (back by popular demand and the first-ever performer to headline twice at the festival) and current massive hit makers Kanye West, the Killers, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Arctic Monkeys, the Flaming Lips and Haim, to indie darlings like Spoon, Chromeo, Lykke Li and electronic powerhouses like Tiësto, Disclosure and dozens of more acts, Outside Lands has developed into a vortex of vast music exploration.

Each year, festival organizers ensure that every facet of the event highlights the Bay Area and all of the components that make it one of the most desirable places to live and visit. They also like to give back to the City and the local communities surrounding the park. In its first six years, Outside Lands has raised over $8.3 million to benefit the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department. Based on a 2011 economic study, it is estimated that the festival contributes over $70 million annually to the San Francisco economy.

Taking its well-earned reputation as the world’s only gourmet music festival seriously, in 2014, Outside Lands will once again have incomparable food and drink experiences to offer its patrons. Between the festival’s unique regions—A Taste of the Bay Area, Wine Lands, Beer Lands, Choco Lands and back for its second year, an expanded Cheese Lands—ticketholders will find more than 200 food and drink options, each epitomizing why Northern California’s culinary scene is among the world’s best. So vibrant is the culinary experience each year that Rolling Stone proclaimed, “At Outside Lands food and wine are half the fun,” and the Huffington Post reported, “Unlike, well, every other music festival in the country, the culinary offerings at Outside Lands are truly spectacular.”
