Summer is in full swing at Jack London Square! Locals and visitors are invited to experience all the waterfront has to offer including bicycling, kayaking, delicious restaurants and an exciting mix of free events including outdoor movie nights, dance lessons, night markets and more. From foodies to film buffs, there is something for everyone at Jack London Square this summer.
The San Francisco Bay Area’s favorite dance series returns to Jack London Square, taking place Friday nights from June 3 through August 26. Everyone is invited to join in the free outdoor fun on Friday evenings to learn several dances under the starry night sky including the four-step hustle, salsa, west coast swing and line dancing, in June. Each week, professional dance instructor Bradley Montoya will take on a new dance with lessons at 8:30 p.m., followed by a mixed music dance party, from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Moviegoers are invited to cozy up Thursday evenings for outdoor screenings of hit movies, as part of the Waterfront Flicks series presented by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Free to attend, Waterfront Flicks will host fan favorites at sundown including Jurassic World (June 9) and The Devil Wears Prada (June 23). From date night to family fun night, showgoers can start their evenings early with dinner at one of Jack London Square’s waterfront restaurants, or pick up a quick bite from one of the casual eateries to enjoy during the screening. Moviegoers should arrive early with blankets in-hand for pre-film festivities including small eats, trivia and giveaways.
Jack’s Night Market will light up the waterfront this summer with a vibrant bazaar on Friday, June 17. From hipsters to foodies, this eclectic bazaar invites everyone out for a bit of free, eccentric fun including wacky street performers, local makers, tasty eats, the all-new Pro Arts Alley, drinks, music, the Truck Stop and more.
In addition to all the special events, Jack London Square offers food, drinks and entertainment at Jack’s Oyster Bar & Fish House, Plank, Rosenblum Cellars, Bocanova, Forge Pizza, Haven, Lungomare and more.
