Earlier this summer, the Balclutha made a familiar journey from her home at the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park to Alameda’s Bay Ship & Yacht, right next to the Alameda Main Street Terminal, for regular servicing and a few repairs. The historic cargo ship and floating museum was built in 1886 and  enjoys a unique and vibrant history. Our cover story this month traces its remarkable path.
