John Arndt, publisher of local sailing magazine Latitude 38, created Summer Sailstice in 2001. It has developed into an annual, global sailing celebration that unites sailors worldwide to celebrate and share their passion for sailing. There are many Sailstice events planned around the Bay Area to help ignite the public’s passion for sailing, and to help get people on the water who wouldn’t normally be there.
