On Saturday, February 22, at 8:00 p.m. at the Clocktower in Benicia (1187 Washington Street), the Benicia Historical Museum will present its second concert in their Celtic Concert Series 2003 featuring the Black Irish Band. The program will include music from the band’s new Maritime classics CD Into the Arms of the Sea.

On Saturday, February 22, at 8:00 p.m. at the Clocktower in Benicia (1187 Washington Street), the Benicia Historical Museum will present its second concert in their Celtic Concert Series 2003 featuring the Black Irish Band. The program will include music from the band’s new Maritime classics CD Into the Arms of the Sea. The Black Irish were a group of people of Irish and Spanish blood. This band consists of Patrick Michael Karnahan who is Irish, Richard Restivo of Sicilian descent, Steve McArthur who is Scottish and Canadian, Ken Darby who is English, and Michael Lee who is Irish. Their collection of instruments includes accordion, guitar, mandolin, melodeon, concertina, trumpet and banjo.
Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door, and are available at the museum office, 2060 Camel Road; Bookshop Benicia, Southampton Shopping Center, Yesterdaze Book Shop, 501 First St.; and F & P Trophy, 475 Military East and The Pet Shoppe, 2144 Springs Rd., Vallejo.
