The San Francisco Port Commission unanimously approved a 10-year lease agreement with Baydelta Maritime Inc., located at Pier 15. Baydelta Maritime currently operates a modem fleet of five tugboats that provide ship assistance, tanker escorts and other harbor services in San Francisco Bay.

This new 10-year lease helps to ensure that Baydelta Maritime will continue providing harbor services vital to the San Francisco Bay shipping community and jobs to approximately 50 union and administrative personnel.

"Baydelta is one of the regions premier harbor service companies and we’re thrilled to secure their future on San Francisco’s waterfront," said the Port’s Maritime Director Peter Dailey.

Baydelta Maritime has expanded and recently improved its fleet to include four state-of-the-art "tractor" tugs and one conventional tug.

"We are pleased to have secured a new long term lease with the Port of San Francisco, as it allows us to increase our operating space and helps us plan for future business expansion," said Captain Fred Henning, General Manager, Baydelta Maritime Inc.
