37th Annual Silverado Concours d’Elegance Mare Island
Sunday, June 6, 2004, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Plan to attend the premier classic car event of the year — the 37th Annual Silverado Concours d’Elegance Mare Island in Vallejo. Stroll in the shade of historic mansions while viewing over 300 classic and antique autos, vintage motorcycles, military vehicles and more. Proceeds from this charity event will benefit Hospice of Marin, Mare Island Historic Park Foundation, and other local charities. Featured marques are Rolls Royce, celebrating its 100th anniversary, and street rods and modifieds through 1960. Plus ,you can see Lana Turner’s 1941 Chrysler Newport.
The $20 admission includes a program. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets will be available at the Vallejo Convention and Visitors Bureau, Vallejo Ferry Terminal at 495 Mare Island Way, (707-642-3653) or at the gate. 11th Annual Vallejo Jazz Festival Celebrates with Jazz Greats
Saturday and Sunday August 28 and 29, 11:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Come celebrate some of the best jazz in the Bay Area at the 11th Annual Vallejo Jazz, Art & Wine Festival. Bobby Hutcherson is the headliner on Saturday, August 28th, and Latin jazz legend Pete Escovedo headlines on Sunday, August 29th. This two-day event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the Vallejo Waterfront and highlights impressive world-class jazz artists, many of whom live in the Bay Area.
Solano County’s premier jazz festival offers many flavors of jazz from blues to Latin to Dixieland to mainstream. Also featured is a juried artist exhibition, children’s arts and crafts, tastings of micro-brews and fine wines, and a variety of outstanding ethnic foods. Proceeds from this event will go to provide fine arts scholarships to Vallejo High School students.
