If one of your New Year’s Resolutions was to learn something new this year, the businesses on Webster Street are eager to help. On Thursday, February 17, the first monthly Third Thursday Arts & Crafts Campus on Webster Street offers classes, demonstrations, and other learning opportunities.

There’s something for everyone. Needle In A Haystack will offer lessons in beginning sewing, and Island Paradise will have salsa lessons. Thin Man Music offers guitar lessons and Home-Restored Furniture and Refinishing will conduct furniture refinishing and restoration demonstrations.
Coffee for Thought, Wally’s Corner, Tavistock Books will host a lecture and Adolpho’s Bridal and Formal will show you how to “Accessorize That Little Black Dress .” Pharmacist Ed Clark will answer questions about prescription drugs at Webster Pharmacy and North American Martial Arts will offer its wide array of classes.

The events will be held throughout the day and evening. Coupons for discounts at stores and restaurants along Webster Street will be available at the classes and lectures. For a complete schedule, visit the West Alameda website at www.westalamedabusiness.com.
