Ricardo Carrera just opened Carrera Vecchia Cucina located at 114 Main Street, lower Ark Row in Tiburon. The Sicilian style is an authentic one. Ricardo’s parents were born in Sicily. Ricardo was born in New York but has worked in family restaurants since he was 8 years old, becoming a chef at 15. The family still operates Café Carrera in Beverly Hills. Ricardo just moved to the area with his wife and child. His new restaurant features recipes handed down from his grandmother and mother that he has respectfully altered to reflect his own lifetime of cooking, along with a few new creations. Popular dishes are Sicilian Meatloaf, Pasta with Mussels and Clams, and classic Saltimbocca. Stop in and welcome Ricardo to the Bay Area and enjoy a touch of Sicily.
